This Business Unit, which produces components and systems for industrial automation, is the core business of Pneumax S.p.A. At the outset a manufacturer of pneumatic components, the company has consistently invested in extending its range of products and technologies on offer together with associated pneumatic and electrical actuation systems. Thanks to a lean and flexible organization, Pneumax internally manages both the design and mechanical processing and assembly of standard and custom products, combining electronics and mechanics. The development of solutions in line with Industry 4.0 principles has led to the integration of sensors and diagnostics in products to enable monitoring, control and maintenance services using digital technologies.

A desire to develop a range of products suitable for use in “process” sectors requiring particular materials, such as stainless steel, or levels of performance, such as operating pressures in the oil and gas sector, has led Pneumax to create a Business Unit entirely dedicated to process automation which is capable of meeting the sector’s specific needs in a timely and rigorous way.

This means that Pneumax is now capable of producing a huge range of products which vary in terms not only of size but also of performance and material selection and are manufactured for specific applications which may involve handling gas, oil or other chemical and petrochemical products: valves and solenoid whether made of stainless steel or aluminium and stainless steel air treatment units are complemented by integrated custom manifolds. Working in these sectors also means ensuring compliance with international quality standards and Pneumax is proud to hold ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 certifications as well as product certificates such as ATEX, EAC, FM, NEPSI and CU_TR012, together with SIL (Safety Integrity Level) certificates relating to product performance in terms of reliability.
